Oakleigh School
Oakleigh School caters for children aged 2 – 11 years who have severe and complex learning difficulties. Some of the children have profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) including sensory or physical needs. Other children have autism spectrum conditions (ASC) and severe learning difficulties (SLD) or PMLD.
The Early Years Centre
The Early Years Centre (EYC) provides a range of services for children aged 0 - 5 with a range of special educational needs and it is based on the site of Oakleigh School. The children and staff have full access to the extensive range of facilities on the site. The Early Years Centre and Oakleigh School are organised separately and the children who come under the EYC go on to a wide range of educational provision when they are five.
The EYC has five departments, each meeting the needs of pre-school children with special educational needs in a different way.

The Summer holidays are a great time for families to spend time together, however sometimes we can all run out of ideas for fun things to do!
Fundraising
Our children are faced with immense difficulties.
Some have life-limiting conditions, others have severe problems with sight, hearing, communication and mobility.
We also have children with severe autism, for whom every day is a constant challenge, and other young children who, with our early support, can move into mainstream school. They and their families need continual support.
Yet Oakleigh School is filled with laughter, comradeship, achievement and the most life-affirming spirit!! Every day our children learn new skills, new understanding and new ways in which to control their lives.
But there are always financial pressures. Our children need an enormous amount of stimulating activities, specialist equipment, highly-trained staff & therapists to help them progress; this specialist provision is extraordinarily expensive.
